New year’s sunrise in Essen

Hey! It’s 2023! What would be a great way to dive into the new year? How about following the Japanese tradition: Watching the very first sunrise of the year?

So the plan is quite simple: we’re gonna see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 7:15am. Then:

1. Dep: 07:30 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 14 (S 6)
2. Arr: 08:00 Essen Werden – Platform 1

Then we walk towards the viewing platform, which is maybe at 10 min walk from Essen-Werden.

While waiting for the sunrise, I guess I am going to prepare soup -> Don’t forget to bring a bowl and a spoon! Maybe you can also bring something to eat!
