Hiking around Hattingen and Christmas market!
Hey! A few days to Christmas. Don’t you want to have a great day before that? Join us to enjoy the beautiful nature and the great Christmas market! This time we are hiking around Hattingen, to reach the most beautiful Christmas market of the area!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 10:30. Then:
- Dep: 10:54 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 7 (RE 6 (89717))
- Arr: 11:27 Essen Hbf – Platform 6
- Dep: 11:36 Essen Hbf – Platform 11 (S 3)
- Arr: 11:53 Hattingen(Ruhr) – Platform 1
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 16.4km. We’ll have a break at Pilgrimshöhe (or somewhere nearby). The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 4:27. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 17:45 (with considerable uncertainty). Komoot says this track is of average difficulty. So don’t think too much and just enjoy! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
