Hiking from Schaberg to Leichlingen!
Hey! It’s autumn, the best season of the year for hiking! Let’s enjoy the great moment with a lot of cool people! This time we’re hiking from Solingen-Schaberg to Leichlingen, going along the river Wupper!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 10:00. Then:
- Dep: 10:25 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 11 (S 1)
- Arr: 10:47 Solingen Hbf – Platform 10
- Dep: 10:52 Solingen Hbf – Platform 9 (VIA S7)
- Arr: 11:05 Solingen-Schaberg – Platform 2
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! It’s within the VRR region so if you have a Ticket 2000/Semester ticket/Young Ticket Plus, you can travel there for free. Even if you don’t it’s very likely that someone can take you for free so just be there in time!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 19.2km. We’ll have a break at Gaststätte Rudenstein. The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 5:24. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 17:45. Komoot says this track is difficult. So make sure that you are well prepared! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
