Hiking along the Hermannsweg, Externsteine and Hermannsdenkmal!

Hey! Did you know that there are so many great historical sites around NRW? If not, you should consider to join us to see those ones! This time, we are going to hike along the Hermannsweg, to see the famous Externsteine and Hermannsdenkmal in one go!!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 07:30. Then:

1. Dep: 07:54 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 7 (RE 6 (89711))
2. Arr: 10:07 Herford – Platform 4
3. Dep: 10:33 Herford – Platform 2 (RB 72 (90655))
4. Arr: 11:13 Leopoldstal – Platform 1

Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way!

Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 20.6km. We’ll have a break somewhere on the way. The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 6:06. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 21:30 (with considerable uncertainty). Komoot says this track is difficult. So make sure that you are well prepared! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!

Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
