German Belgian Dutch triple point and Christmas market in Aachen!
Hey! There’s something I missed something this year – the Belgian, Dutch and German triple point at Aachen!! This time, also since the Christmas market in Aachen is supposedly extremely beautiful, we’re going to combine it with the hike as well!

So the plan is quite simple: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 10:00. Then:
- Dep: 10:21 Düsseldorf Hbf Gl. 4; RE 4 (26412) to Aachen Hbf
- Arr: 11:35 Aachen Hbf Gl. 7
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 15.4km. We’ll have a break at Triple point. The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 4:21. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 18:00 (with considerable uncertainty). Komoot says this track is of average difficulty. So don’t think too much and just enjoy! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
