Hiking from Wetter to Herdecke!

Hey! The weather might look really awful this week, but it doesn’t mean there’s no way to enjoy the weekend! Let’s go out together and see how great it looks around you! This time we are hiking around Wetter, with a great view over the Ruhr!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 09:30. Then:

1. Dep: 09:45 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 9 (RE 3 (89875))
2. Arr: 10:16 Essen Hbf – Platform 4
3. Dep: 10:34 Essen Hbf – Platform 9 (RE 16 (31324))
4. Arr: 11:01 Wetter(Ruhr) – Platform 2

Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way!

Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 16.1km. We’ll have a break at Herdecke. The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 4:42. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 17:30 (with considerable uncertainty). Komoot says this track is of average difficulty. So don’t think too much and just enjoy! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!

Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
