Hiking from Oerlinghausen to Bielefeld!
Hey! It’s a beautiful long weekend with one hour more to sleep! Let’s enjoy this great moment with a lot of cool people! This time we’ll hike from Oerlinghausen to Bielefeld, along this famous trail called Hermannsweg!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 8:30am. Then:
- Dep: 08:56 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 17 (RE 89713)
- Arr: 10:58 Bielefeld Hbf – Platform 2
- Dep: 11:15 Bielefeld Hbf – Platform 1 (RB 90235)
- Arr: 11:29 Oerlinghausen – Platform B
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! It’s not within the VRR region, but within NRW, so students can travel for free! Those who have a monthly ticket can travel there with an EinfachWeiterTicket!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 17.9 km. We’ll have a break at Eiserner Anton. It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket.
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
