Hiking from Kettwig to Werden!
Hey! Just looking out of the window and wondering what kind of great place could be waiting for you? It’s time for you to move and discover it yourself! This time I’m proposing a hike from Kettwig to Werden, going through a beautiful field of Essen!

So the plan is quite simple: we’re gonna see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 10:45am. Then:
- Dep: 11:00 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 14 (S 6)
- Arr: 11:24 Kettwig Stausee – Platform 2
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! Thanks to the summer promotion of the train companies, you can travel for free if you have any monthly ticket in NRW, and you can take also one person for free! Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 15.3 km. We’ll have a break at Schevener Hof. It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket.
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
