Hiking around Rursee!
Hey! Did you think the summer is already over?? It looks like it stays here for this week! Let’s enjoy the moment in a beautiful lake! This time we are hiking around Heimbach and Rursee, where we can see the beautiful lake and maybe also swim!!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 08:15. Then:
- Dep: 08:39 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 16 (RE 1 (26808))
- Arr: 09:38 Düren – Platform 1
- Dep: 10:20 Düren – Platform 4 a (RTB RB21 (90806))
- Arr: 11:06 Heimbach (Eifel) – Platform XXX
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 18.9km. We’ll have a break at Urfttalsperre. The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 5:36. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 20:00 (with considerable uncertainty). Komoot says this track is difficult. So make sure that you are well prepared! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
