Hiking from Velbert to Kettwig!

Happy new year! You want to have a great dive into the new year? Let’s hike together with cool people to enjoy the great nature in the local area! This time, I’m proposing a hike from Velbert to Kettwig, a beautiful region that we haven’t visited so often so far!
So the plan is quite simple: we’ll see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 10:00. Then we’ll take the S6 that leaves from platform 14 at 10:30. This one will arrive at Essen-Werden at 11:00 and we’ll change to the Bus 169 that leaves at 11:13. Finally, we arrive at Velbert ZOB at 11:33 and we’ll start hiking. It’s easy, right? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! It’s within the VRR region so if you have a Ticket 2000/Semester ticket/Young Ticket Plus, you can travel there for free. Even if you don’t it’s very likely that someone can take you for free so just be there in time!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 14 km. We’ll have a break somewhere on the way (don’t worry there are a few restaurants along the way apparently). It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.

Frohes Neues! Du möchtest einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr? Dann lass uns doch mal mit den anderen coolen Leuten mal wandern gehen! Diesmal biete ich eine Wanderung von Velbert nach Kettwig, eine coole Region die wir sonst nicht so häufig besuchen!
Also der Plan ist ziemlich einfach: wir treffen uns vor dem Haupteingang von Düsseldorf Hbf um 10:00. Dann nehmen wir die S6 die um 10 Uhr 30 von Gleis 14 abfährt. Sie kommt in Essen-Werden um 11 Uhr an. Dann nehmen wir den Bus 169 der um 11 Uhr 13 abfährt. Am Ende kommen wir in Velbert um 11:33 an und gehen gleich wandern. Einfach, nicht wahr? Falls du aus einer anderen Stadt kommst, kannst du uns gerne woanders antreffen. Wir bleiben im VRR Gebiet, d.h. wenn du ein Ticket 2000/Semesterticket/Young Ticket Plus hast, kannst du kostenlos mitfahren. Auch wenn nicht, ist es ziemlich wahrscheinlich, dass dich jemand kostenlos mitnehmen kann. Du musst nur pünktlich da sein!
Dann laufen wir gemäß dieser Karte (in kml-format) bzw. dieser Karte(in gpx-format). Der gesamte Abstand ist ca. 14 km. Wir machen irgendwo eine Pause (keine Sorge da sind auch mehrere Restaurants auf dem Weg). Es wäre praktisch wenn du was zum Essen und vielleicht auch eine Picknickdecke mitbringen würdest. Für weitere Ideen, wie z.B. Bälle/Frisbee/Gitarre etc. sind wir immer sehr offen!
Egal wie das Wetter wird, das Event wird NICHT abgesagt. Also guck selber nach, ob es für dich wettertechnisch in Ordnung ist.
