100th hike: Schloss Burg and Müngsten bridge!
Hey! Now finally it’s so far! We (will have) hiked 100 times around Düsseldorf! To celebrate this great moment, let’s go out together and enjoy the great nature of the spring! This time, I’m proposing a hike around Solingen Schaberg, going through Schloss Burg and Müngsten bridge!
So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 10:30am. Then:
- Departure: Düsseldorf Hbf platform 11 at 10:55 (S1)
- Arrival: Solingen Hbf platform 10 at 11:17
- Departure: Solingen Hbf platform 9 at 11:22 (S7)
- Arrival: Solingen-Schaberg platform 2 at 11:34
Then we’ll start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? Depending on the circumstances, we’re gonna wait for those coming from the Ruhr region for 6 min. If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way!. It’s within the VRR region so if you have a Ticket 2000/Semester ticket/Young Ticket Plus, you can travel there for free. Even if you don’t it’s very likely that someone can take you for free so just be there in time!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 16 km (there’s an error in the map of komoot above, it’s shorter than it’s shown). We’ll have a break at Schloss Burg. It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
