Hey! Got tired of not seeing other cool people? It’s time to get out and finally enjoy a weekend with them! This time I’m organizing a weekend trip to Sankt Aldegund, a beautiful city right next Cochem!

Day I (Friday July 2):

Before you come: Make sure that you get a test (if you are not fully vaccinated).

You can arrive at the apartment individually some time after 3pm. The address is:

1 Alte Kirchgasse
56858 Sankt Aldegund

We will have to buy stuff somewhere somehow. We will need a sophisticated strategy to see first of all what’s available in the house and think of what to buy based on that.

Each room has either two beds or a double bed. It might be important to share a room with someone who goes to bed more or less at the same time as you :).

Day II (Saturday July 3):

We will hike according to the map below. I made an impossibly long hike, but we will hopefully have plenty of time and places to have breaks, so let’s use the entire day and walk slowly.

Update: Zaman convinced me that the trail is too complicated. Therefore we keep the overall route, but if it becomes too much for you, feel free to go along the Moselle with him.

Day III (July 4):

  1. We take a bus from St. Aldegund to Eller-Ediger at 10:22.
  2. Canoe tour from Eller-Ediger to Poltersdorf from 10:30 to 13:30 or 14. We’ll get 4+3+3+3 Canoes for 10 people, €22 p.P (more on this page).
  3. Depending on what we feel like we can also chill after canoeing.
  4. We take a bus from Poltersdorf to Eller-Ediger (bus leaving at XX:33)
  5. We take the stuff from the office (open until 4pm) and take a train back to Düsseldorf. Thanks to this promotion we should all be able to travel for free in NRW on Sunday, so we’ll need two VRM group ticket (24€, i.e. 4,80€ per person)

Things you might be interested to take:

  • Bed linen (you can also rent it at a surcharge of EUR 15 per person)
  • Towels (I’m in contact with the owner of the apartment, but just in case it might be good to have your own)
  • Ear plugs
  • Eye masks
  • Swimming stuff (maybe in the Moselle, maybe not)
  • Board games, card games, guitar, bongos etc.

The participation will be 45€ per person.

Hope to see you there!
