Hey! It’s autumn! The best season ever to enjoy the great nature! This time I’m proposing a weekend trip to Saarbrücken, which lies on the border to France right next to Luxemburg!

Day I (September 24):

We arrive individually at the place. Thanks to this promotion you can go there for free if you have a monthly ticket. Jana and I will (hopefully) arrive early and prepare something to eat for everyone (probably pasta+pesto and salad).

Day II (September 25):

We will take the S1 from Janneskirche to Saarbrücken-Brebach and walk according to the map below. There’s an S1 every 15 min so probably we can simply go to the tram (?) stop whenever we want. The hike involves a little bit of France as well :). After the hike, if we are still fit we can walk back to the place.

Day III (September 26):

We are going to visit Völklinger-Hütte first and then walk along the Baumwipfelpfad. Details will be updated

I got a holiday house for 10+ people. The participation is going to be 45€ per person. In addition, we will share the cost for the dinner for Friday. We will probably not centrally administer the breakfasts, so bring your own stuff yourselves (and potentially talk about it in the WhatsApp group). Since the amount of money involved is fairly small, I’ll ask you to transfer the money afterwards.

Shopping list for Sam:

  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • 4 cans of tomato or around 11-12 fresh tomatoes
  • 3 big cans of chickpeas or 8 small ones
  • 2 kg basmati rice

List of participants:

  5. Niloofar
  6. Zaman
  7. Gopi

Hey Nazanin! Thank you for your interest, but before signing up, it might make more sense for you to know the group a bit better. Would it be thinkable to join us a few times on regular hikes? Thanks!
