Weekend hiking trip to Koblenz! (2019-10-26)

Hey it’s autumn! The best season to go hiking! Let’s enjoy the last weekend of October with a lot of other cool people! This time, I’m proposing a weekend trip to Koblenz, where we’re gonna stay in a really cool historical youth hostel!

Here’s the plan in short: we’ll see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 9:45am in the morning of Oct. 26. Then:

Dep: 09:58 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 16 (RE 28511)
Arr: 11:47 Koblenz Hbf – Platform 2
Dep: 11:53 Koblenz Hbf – Platform 8 (VIA25017)
Arr: 12:05 Braubach – Platform 2

Then we start hiking. I’m going to buy Schönes-Wochenende-Tickets (or Rheinland-Pfalz-Tickets for students) and you can give me back the money later (the best would be on the train, since we’ll have plenty of time there)

I got 20 spots at the youth hostel of Koblenz where we’re gonna stay overnight. On the second day, we’ll hike towards Vollendar and we’ll take a train back to Düsseldorf from there. It costs 23,50€ per person. The ticket for both ways will cost 30,40€ (or 18€ for students with NRW ticket).

The youth hostel offers towels for 1€ per person, so you might prefer to bring one yourself.

As always, I haven’t got any idea for the evening in Koblenz. And since I don’t mind whoever doing whatever as long as the overall plan (i.e. youth hostel and trains) works out, so feel free to suggest whatever you like.
