Hiking from Wuppertal-Steinbeck to Solingen-Schaberg
Hey! It’s autumn! It’s the best season of the year to go outside and enjoy the nature! This time we are going to hike from Wuppertal to Solingen, going along the Wupper!

So the plan is quite simple: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 09:45. Then:
- Dep: 10:00 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 13 (S 8)
- Arr: 10:30 Wuppertal-Steinbeck – Platform 4
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! It’s within the VRR region so if you have a Ticket 2000/Semester ticket/Young Ticket Plus, you can travel there for free. Even if you don’t it’s very likely that someone can take you for free so just be there in time!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 17.0km. We’ll have a break at Kohlfürter Brücke. The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 4:55. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 16:30 (with considerable uncertainty). Komoot says this track is of average difficulty. So don’t think too much and just enjoy! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
