Hiking from Hirzenach to Boppard

Hey! Finally we got our 9-Euro ticket! It’s time to enjoy GERMANY! This time we’re hiking from Hirzenach to Boppard, along the Rhine with great views!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other at Düsseldorf Hbf at 7:30. Then:

1. Dep: 07:58 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 16 (RE5(28507))
2. Arr: 09:42 Koblenz Hbf – Platform 2
3. Dep: 10:30 Koblenz Hbf – Platform 4 (RB26(25417))
4. Arr: 10:51 Boppard-Hirzenach – Platform 2

Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! You can take the train with your 9-euro ticket!

Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 13.4km. We’ll have a break at Bad Salzig. The total duration of the hike according to Komoot is 3:56. We will probably be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 18:15. Komoot says this track is of average difficulty. So feel free to join us and enjoy! It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!

Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
