Hiking to Hermannsdenkmal at Detmold!

Hey! The days are so long these days! Don’t miss this great season and join us on our excursion! This time, I’m proposing a hike around Detmold to visit Hermannsdenkmal, which is one of the most famous monuments in this area!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other at 9:15am in front of Düsseldorf Hbf. Then:

1. Departure: Düsseldorf Hbf platform 10 at 9:36 (RE 11)
2. Arrival: Hamm (Westf) platform xxx at 11:02
3. Departure: Hamm (Westf) platform xxx at 11:17 (RB 89)
4. Arrival: Paderborn Hbf platform 2 at 12:09
5. Departure: Paderborn Hbf platform 4 at 12:21 (RB 72)
6. Arrival: Detmold platform 2 at 13:00

Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! This time, it is not within the VRR region, but still within NRW, so you might be interested in buying an NRW group ticket! If you are a student in NRW, it’s very likely that you can travel for free.

Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 15 km. We’ll have a break at Hermannsdenkmal. It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!

Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
