Hiking from Rhöndorf to Königswinter!

Hey! Have you ever heard of Siebengebirge? If so, you certainly know that this is an extremely beautiful and must see area near Bonn! This time, I’m proposing a hike from Rhöndorf to Königswinter, where we’re gonna go over the highest mountain of this area, Ölberg, and have a great view over the Rhine from Petersberg!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 10:30am. Then:

1. Dep: 10:58 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 16 (RE 28513)
2. Arr: 11:25 Köln Messe/Deutz – Platform 8
3. Dep: 11:41 Köln Messe/Deutz – Platform 4 (RE 10815)
4. Arr: 12:22 Rhöndorf – Platform 2

Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! It’s inside the VRS region, so if you have a VRR ticket, you’ll need an EinfachWeiterTicket or an NRW ticket. If you are a student inside NRW, you can probably travel for free.

Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 15 km. We’ll have a break at Ölberg. It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!

Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves. This event is also organized on couch surfing. Check it out from this page!
