Expert hike from Üdingen to Abenden!
Hey! You recovered quickly from the Halloween party? It would be a pity if you waste your long weekend just killing time at home, right?? This time, I’m proposing a hike from Üdingen to Abenden, which lies right next to the beautiful Eifel area!

So the plan is as follows: we’re gonna see each other in front of Düsseldorf Hbf at 9:15am. Then:
- Dep: 09:39 Düsseldorf Hbf – Platform 16 (RE 10116)
- Arr: 10:38 Düren – Platform 1
- Dep: 11:20 Düren – Platform 4a (RTB89662)
- Arr: 11:37 Üdingen
Then we start hiking. Easy, isn’t it? If you come from a different city, feel free to join us wherever you want on the way! It’s not within the VRR region, but within NRW, so students can travel for free!
Then we’ll walk according to this map (in kml-format) or this map (in gpx-format). The total distance is something like 16.5 km. We’ll have a break in Nideggen. It would be helpful if you’d bring something to eat and a picnic blanket. You are also very welcome to bring a ball/frisbee, a guitar and more!
Regardless of the weather, I will NOT cancel the event, so please check it out yourselves and decide whether to come or not yourselves.
